2.5 l v6 duratec engine/ svt upgrades.

i have a 2002 merc cougar with the 2.5 l v6 duratec engine, if i am correct, the ford contour svt, has the exact same engone? but with a lot of the main engine components upgraded, what parts could i take off of the contour svt engine and put on the cougar, if any? could i take off the upper and lower manifold, pistons, etc? any info would help, car is stock right now, but i want to redo the whole engine by getting parts for it i would like it to have about 300 hp, was thinking about a chip? any good ones out there? thanks.
