I thought they came already welded on the kit in all the stock places? I thought the site said the only mod required to install was making a hanger for the second tip![]()

Re: Question on best performing and low noise exhaust
Sorry I spoke without really knowing apparently. My kit (just the piping) came with the hangers seperately and I assumed all were that way. Didnt mean to scare you like that lol.

Re: Question on best performing and low noise exhaust
That was definately scary! lol here I was going to try and instal this myself to save the money so I could get a stainless system to thinking now I need to have a shop do this and spend more money because I cant weld!
![]() Not only that but I already worked for like 3hours cutting the old exhaust bolts off! ![]()

The mystery unfolds
Well, I finally got the Coog on a lift tonight after work and guess-e what I got....2 Weapon-R SLP racing mufflers. The tips look like cannons!!! I'll have to take pictures of them and post them. The whole exhaust system is rotted out like you wouldn't believe. It may even have an exhaust leak which is why it's making it even louder. This guy at Rabe Motosports is going to work up a quote for me tomorrow and get back to me. The bad news is I will have to get rid of the "cannon" look. He said part of the reason for the loud noise is because they are very small mufflers and the pipes are short. I'm curious if Weapon-R mufflers are illegal. I always see notes on the page reminding people that they can't post about Weapon-R stuff and I don't know why. The guy who owned the shop didn't think they were illegal and the mechanic on my pool team never heard of them. The name meant nothing to him. Anyways, this guy said it's going to be expensive, so the $800+ dual exhaust with Flowmasters from Jannetty Racing may not be so bad after all, though many said that that was steep. The $800 includes 2 "stainless steel" mufflers, however. The guy at Rabe thought that Borla was the better of the 2 mufflers, while the guy at Janetty's swore by Flowmaster....Coke or Pepsi I guess. ![]()

Re: Question on best performing and low noise exhaust
seriously with two mufflers i think most I've ever been charged for a muffler was maybe 100-115 bucks. I would think for all that it shouldnt cost more than 3-400. are you going to a mechanic or a muffler shop?
