Re: MSDS headers

Always want to replace gaskets when you change those. Bolts you can just clean the threads before you put them back in. Rest of it should be fine.

Re: MSDS headers

Use obscene amounts of anti-seize compound when you put the bolts back in. This prevents them from seizing should you ever need to revert to stock.

Re: MSDS headers

msds is a little cheaper, you have to call them directely and ask for the grassroots pricing. you should be able to get uncoated headers,no gaskets and mil's for 25 or so less than npg

Re: MSDS headers

their is an online catalog to msds? i clicked the link above and cruised around but couldn't find on the site where they say they sell individual parts. so getting the y pipe really helps and prevents problems from happening, then most ppl buy that too right away? and what will it cost to install these? i'm not a mechanic or no much about this to feel confident enough to do it myself.

Re: MSDS headers

If you planned on getting them coated, the nautilus ones and the ones directly from msds use different coatings. The ones from msds cost $54 more after accounting for shipping to my location. I think I am going to spend the extra cash and get the headers from msds, does anyone have any input?

Re: MSDS headers

The coating Nautilus uses is just some high temp paint. It flakes off fairly easy but it's better than nothing. I'd recommend the chrome like coating that MSDS uses. I think it's more than the prices you've seen though.

Wouldn't it make a thousand times more sense to ask shops in your area instead of people on a forum hundreds or more miles away from you?

Re: MSDS headers

you have to call msds to get the individual pricing. and i believe its still 10% off your total order. so you can get plain uncoated headers for around 180 dollars...
