Re: Dual Exhaust
Some say it is. Regardless, I'm sure we can agree that 3 inches is WAY more exhaust than most of us would ever need.

Re: Dual Exhaust
It's not so much that one size is better then the other for this or any other engine. Exhaust tubing size is just one MORE way of tuning your engines power bands. Larger pipe sizes will normally give more HP, but hugher in the RPM range AND at the expense of low end Torque. Smaller pipe usually retains more low end torque at the expense of high end RPM. This is the entire idea behind SuperTrapp mufflers. They basically sit at the end of the your exhaust and allow you to change the effective pipe size allowing you to tune your power band.
For a street car you probably want to stay with a 2.25 in pipe on a V6 cougar and probably 2.0 on the Zetec.

Re: Dual Exhaust
Yes, trubendz uses some thick pipes and kind of ****ty clamps, so pinching the exhaust enough, without breaking the clamps is difficult. At least is was for my Trubendz exhaust. Plus I think the trubendz bends and hangers are a little off. Its not bad, but my true Borla exhaust and my Bassani exhaust the fit was spot on. I would recommend atleast having it tack welded and clamped if you don't have it fully welded.
