Oh yeah, i forgot to mention that, installed it a couple weeks before I did the video. $500 on ebay, not bad eh! It's my secret to fast 1/4 mile times, and the best radar detector around

Not worth it though. Once used it fries the alternator. Gotta replace it every single time.

Re: Exhaust Thread

I had a local shop do this its y piped not sure on the mufflers they used. None the less i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions i want a classic car kinda rumble i was thinking about cherry bombs.

I like 99Mcougars setup and Ford Rule's what setups do you guys have again?

On a side note how does the Short ram work on long drives , because i would imagine after a while it starts to suck hot air.

Cherry bombs will probably make our cars sound ricey. The thing is, you can't get that classic car rumble with a 2.5L V6. Those classic (assuming muscle cars) all had big V8's hell even before the muscle car era they had V8's. I would love to have the rumble too but you can get it with our displacement. Your car sounds pretty good tho

I have
Quote:
-Weapon-R headers
-stock Y-pipe
-no cat
-Dynomax resonator
-Dynomax SS highflow muffler
-2.5" exhaust to 3" tip
and fordrule has (from his cardomain)
Quote:
-Weapon-R headers
-Weapon-R y-pipe
-Magnaflow hi-flo cat
-Magnaflow custom dual exit exhaust
-2.5" Exhaust to dual magnaflow tips
I believe he also has a tru-benz kit, and don't forget your hearing a 3.0L so it will be a little deeper then our 2.5's.

Personally I noticed heat soak with both intakes, but it was lots better with the extension vs the SRI. I took it out tho because i got sick of having to jack up the car, take off the front tire and fender to check my air filter. Also, I would always worry about having my filter that low, even tho hydrolock is rare witht them. Now if i lived somewhere with no snow or it was a summer car, I would have the extension. Just my 2c but if you want to learn more about it, search for heat soak or hydrolock there is endless pages of discussions about it.

Re: Exhaust Thread

THose sound really good, but one thing is that they rust out like your stock one, so if your from somewhere where they use a lot of salt on the roads if my be a good idea to reconsider. You could always get a piping kit from trubenz and then go to a local shop and get it installed with a muffler. Borla sounds pretty similar to the pacesetter..
