    Camshaft position sensor replacement

Hopefully this is in the right section but if it isn't please feel free to move it.

I'm going to be replacing the camshaft position sensor and need to know where it is and how to change it. I can only assume it's not very difficult to change but I haven't been able to find any information about it.

The car is throwing "P0340 -- Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction" so I figure a $10 part is worth a try.

Can any one tell me at least where the sensor is located on the car?

I apreciate any and all help.

It is very very simple...it is located on the front cover near top of the engine on the left hand head and has an electrical connector to remove and one 8mm bolt and then just pull it right out it. Picture added

I appreciate the picture. I thought I remembered seeing someone that looked like it might have been it last time I was poking around my engine bay.

Thanks from me too, got the code a few days ago, going to pickup the replacement tonight. From what I've read this will definately fix the bucking issue I've been having.
