Dont believe the vortech kit works on the cougar. we dont have as much room beside the timing belt side of the car as the focus does. I had to get creative with one of my alt bolts because of this with my JRSC.

The only SC confirmed to fit in a cougar is the Jackson racing supercharger (mine is the svt kit that took modifications to fit) the base kit fits easier and uses a smaller blower. The powerworks SC for a focus "might" fit. But looking at pictures it seems to me that our axle would get in the way of it (mounted higher then on a focus)

Well been working on the cougar to get her up and running and about finished decided to take her to the muffler shop to get the exhaust leak fixed. Turns out my weapon r header is cracked right by the 02 sensor. Anyone experience the same thing??

Stainless steel is reactive. you'll need to back-purge it (fill the inside with Argon) before you weld it, or else your weld isn't going to work out. I can't help you on Filler material or settings, I've never welded stainless. but if you had a TIG setup with a Foot pedal and appropriate filler wire, reckon you could keep heat and warpage down. Heck, you might even get away with fusing that thing together.

food for thought, but most cheaper (I use that term with the utmost respect! ) headers are MIG welded and they work just fine too. so if you've got some skills, as long as you back-purge it, you might get away with it.
