Throttle Response??
Anybody have any advice to improve the throttle response on a 2.0 cougar?? Without having to make and MAJOR modifications. Every time i'm in my friends Protege speed i'm jealous

do you have an aftermarket intake on the car? if so reinstall the plenum chamber that was above the throttle body from the factory. it makes a huge difference in throttle response.
another 50 horses wouldnt hurt either ![]()

An aluminum flywheel does wonders for throttle response as well.

The single best mod i did for throttle response was to swap the stock throttle body for a Focus central 65mm one.Fitted a dragon weapon R induction kit. Undrivable till you get used to it.

When you replace the throttle body with the Focus TB is it necessary to also replace the intake manifold or will it still run smooth and everything?
