Re: Throttle Response??

Never ported the intake manifold so i can't say, though, tbh i cant see it making any difference. If you want to port anything, port the exhaust.

As for the tb difference, again, i dont know, i can only tell you what i know from my own experience with the one i have. I guess you would have to look into it.

Re: Throttle Response??

The tb goes straight on, its fixed with four philips (cross head) screws. Throttle cable bracket needs modifying just a little and you need to swap the tps over but thats all.

Mine is a 1998 zetec but they are all the same anyway.

Standard 55mmtb on left: FCTB 65mm on right:

Re: Throttle Response??

I'd imagine you'd have to use a reducer coupler? Thats a pretty big size difference.

My stock TB looks different:

I had to buy a Focus Throttle cable to connect to my TB.

If your TB looks like mine get an 03-04 FC TB.
If your TB looks like PID_16V's, then get the 00-02 FC TB.

Either way I don't see how you would connect the stock air-box to a FC 65mm TB. You probably need an aftermarket air intake and you need a hose coupler that will fit around the FC TB.
