Re: Engine rpm stays at 3k

If you're getting an O2 Sensor Lean Code, it is very likely that you have a vacuum leak or air coming in that's not measured by the MAF.

Does your "CAI" have a connection for the Valve Cover Breather? If not, your PCV air getting pulled into the intake manifold isn't being measured, and that could cause it to run a little lean.

Re: Engine rpm stays at 3k

I didn't port the valve cover breather back into the intake.. would that do it?

Re: Engine rpm stays at 3k

It would cause you to run lean during idle, but I don't know if its enough to make you idle at 3K.

You cold try temporarily disconnecting your PCV hose from the intake manifold and put a rubber cap on the barb connection on the intake manifold.

Re: Engine rpm stays at 3k

It doesn't seem like an idle.. but i guess i don't know how to define idle.. when i rev my engine past 3k, it won't come back down.. it doesn't raise it self to 3k.. it's only when i'm driving down the road.. when it's idling in the morning it's around 2500, but comes down to about 1500.. which is still higher than normal.. but no problem for me
