Same here - neither of my 2 digitals was as good as either of my 2 with a short hose & swinging needle gauge.
I keep my front tires a bit higher pressure than the rear tires (34 front, 32 rear) to make up for my tendency to corner hard.
One other note - measure tire pressure when the tires are "cold" - you haven't driven anywhere & the sun's not on one side/end of the car more than the other.
