If my intercooler's core width was 1" less, I wouldn't have had to touch the bumper support to get it to fit. However, due to it's width and the resulting end tank width (even though it tapers), I had to trim the back of the bumper support just to get it to fit. The only reason I hacked it away as much as I did was to see ho much would have to be removed in order to perperly duct the intercooler. That being said, like I stated, it's up the individual to weigh the facts and make that determination for themselves.
