soooooo what can you all tell me about the fuel evap canister?

theres 2 functions of it I would like to maintain, pressure releif and in event of rollover that it prevents fluid from escaping the fuel tank... I'm not sure if either of those are actually a function of the evap canister or if they are integrated into the tank itself.
