If that is the case (drowning in fuel) it will definitely cause starting issues and drivability issues as you are having. I had the same problem on a customers car. An injector went bad and was stuck wide open when the key was turned to run. It filled the cylinders and was hard to start at first. Eventually it filled the cylinder and bent a rod. Remove your upper intake and turn the key to run. Check to see if any of the injectors are pumping fuel. They shouldn't be at this point. Do not try and start the car as it will cause engine damage.
