Re: A tale of a Horsey and a Comptech Supercharged S2000

The S2000 is a Driver's car... If you suck at launching and driving, there is no saving grace.

In the stang, if you blow the launch, the car won't bog horrifically and the engine's ability to create low end grunt will get you going. You also may have "optimal" shift points, but if you get near them you are still ok. The S2000 has like darn near specific shift points that if you miss you will drop out of the power band and lose the vehicle.

I remember when the S2000's came out and they did 0-60 and 0-100 pulls at all different RPM's and shift points and the times were crazy. There were 0-60 pulls that were over 10sec... Drive them right and you got it... don't know how to drive, and he has a 16sec car...

Either way... the 0-60 vs the 0-XXX qare very different on the high revving motor in there.

Either way... he should've dropped a turbo in there...

Ok... I need sleep...
