This is a DRIVER'S car. Not a purpose-built straight-line rocket. Soon as that Neon hits a hard corner, it winds up in the ditch.

Look at the new Nissan GT-R. If you're driving one, and you meet up with a Corvette Z06 or a Porsche 911 on a freeway or a drag strip, you're gonna get beat. But take those same 3 cars to the road course, and the Nissan finishes a good 5 seconds faster than the rest. It's all about being WELL-BALANCED and WELL-ROUNDED. Which is why I enjoy driving this car so much.

Not to mention how it looks. That's just the icing on the cake.
Sorry to tell you this but the new GTR will be neck and neck with the Corvette in straight line drag.
I believe the numbers were 3.8 sec 0 to 60 for the GTR, and 3.7 for the Vette.
And on the road course, GTR really isnt faster than the Porsche. In fact, they had almost identical track time.

(I just got a new issue of EVO, which compared the new GTR to the Vette, R8 and the Porsche.)
