from my understanding having leaks caused by switching to synthetic does not apply anymore. That came from when synthetic oil first came out and they didn't have enough of some adative to maintain seals, etc ...

if it starts leaking then there was already a leak there ...

my SeVT and my SVT will get mobil 1 with a FL-300 and FL-820S resepectively and I run about 5k on the oil change. this works about to about one or two oil changes per year based on the miles I drive with the cars.

the Mystqiue gets regular Castrol GTX 10w-40 and a FL-300 at about 4k per change. I did use the Valvoline high milage oil for awhile and it slowed a number of small leaks but then all of the sudden they got worse so I stopped using it.
