Figure 2000$ just for the pistons/rods... Now price in the rings, bearings, and head work. Next you need a whole gasket set, new oil pan, and ARP studs all around to keep it bolted together. Now we are upto 3000$. Since this is all the new stuff going in, you still need the actual engine block, so now we are upto 3500$. Next you need a limited slip, new clutch, flywheel, and rebuilt trans... We are upto 4500$ now. Turbo, intercooler, blow off valve, hot side piping, and cold side piping.. new total is 6000$. SVT Intake, bigger TB, 6500$. Injectors, electronics, fuel pump, and you are upto 7500$. Nitrous kit now makes it 8200$

You still need fluids, and you are going to break something somewhere, or need to get something else, so figure 8500-9000$ and that's if you're lucky. Mind you we are building the turbo kit ourselves. If you bought it off the shelf, you are looking to add at least 2000$ to your grand total.

Oh and you still haven't purchased, suspension, wheels, brakes, guages, and I'm sure a few more options.

In other words, a small fortune.

To help curb the costs, I obviously already have quite a few of the parts, and I'm also buying the rest of the parts I need on a smart budget, buying used when I can, and sourcing multiple distributors for the best possible price.
